Laura Isabel Martínez Ríos del Río

A biologist and environmental activist from Ensenada, Laura has worked for nearly 3 decades to protect the Mexican coastal lagoons, estuaries and wetlands. Leading the civil organization Pro Esteros, AC, Laura and her team spread crucial information for ecological conservation and making the right decisions about the problems of legal gaps that affect wetlands in the region and the species of flora and wildlife that inhabit them, and their importance to Baja California.
