Oceanswell, established in 2017, is Sri Lanka’s first marine conservation research and education organization. Our work spans from conducting research that can better protect our ocean’s inhabitants, to conducting emergency research during marine disasters, and ensuring that we safeguard those whose lives depend on the oceans while also increasing awareness and creating opportunities, both educational and otherwise, for the next generation of diverse ocean heroes.
Oceanswell’s mission, like us all, is to save 71% of our planet. The group accomplishes its goals through educational outreach and conservation research. Oceanswell was established through a Pew Fellowship in Marine Conservation awarded to Dr. Asha de Vos. Learn more by visiting the website below.
