Faith Lyles

Program Assistant

Faith has always had a love for nature and wildlife, which lead to receiving a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Auburn University. With her degree, she pursued research with mammals, reptiles and amphibians and was later introduced to the world of aquatic research where she gained her first aquatic research position working with fairy shrimp and Orcutt grass in vernal pools of Redding California. Being an Alabama native, Faith has also worked with the Birmingham Zoo acting as a caretaker for reticulated giraffe and white rhinos. Broadening her horizon, Faith worked as an accountant for 3 years gaining experience that would later assist in her role as a Fiscal Sponsorship Program Assistant with The Ocean Foundation. Supporting The Ocean Foundation through administration and operational functions as a FSP Assistant, Faith assists with grant administration, contracts, data entry, and client relations.

To again be a part of the conservation world is a dream come true. When not working, she loves listening to live jazz, finding new ice cream spots, hiking, watching movies, relaxing in her hammock or learning about Deaf culture and studying American Sign Language.
