Throughout his career Hooper has been dedicated to promoting sustainable urbanism which has encompassed land-use and transportation planning and policy; regional planning; community development; open space conservation; biodiversity protection and strategic philanthropy. Hooper Brooks currently consults on sustainable urbanism initiatives. Until 2013 he was Director of International Programs at The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community. He represented The Prince’s Foundation internationally and was responsible for establishing and developing a portfolio of exemplar projects. Previous positions include: Program Director for the Environment at the Surdna Foundation; a Vice-President at Regional Plan Association; and Executive Director of the Brookline, Massachusetts Conservation Commission.
