Meagan Gary

Program Manager

Meagan Gary is a Program Manager for The Ocean Foundation’s Ocean Science Equity Initiative. Throughout her career, Meagan has integrated ocean science research, community-led conservation, and intentional outreach and education. Before joining TOF, Meagan managed a NOAA OECI-funded program aimed at increasing access to ocean science research opportunities for undergraduate students attending Minority Serving Institutions. Previously, Meagan led projects as a field biologist studying sea turtle ecology at Cape Eleuthera Institute in The Bahamas and out-migrating juvenile salmon at the University of California Santa Cruz and NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center.

Meagan holds a Masters in Marine Science from Florida Atlantic University, where she conducted her thesis on juvenile green turtle spatial ecology. Meagan graduated from Colorado College with a B.A. in Biological Sciences while minoring in Spanish.

In her free time, Meagan enjoys anything that gets her outside, including gardening, traveling, and hiking with her dog.
