Monica Robinson Bours Muñoz
Monica received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the ITESM-Campus Guaymas, Sonora, in 1982. She is founder and President of Ponguinguiola, A.C. She is an expert on childhood development and education. Ponguinuiola, has created innovative environmental education programs specially design for fishing communities. This programs stimulate the desire for learning and develop children’s potential. Monica also been working in implementing recycling and waste reduction programs in Sonora and La Paz, Mexico. More recently Ponguinguiola launched and coordinated a successful network of collaboration “desplastificate” (get rid of plastics) that prohibit the use of single use plastics in the State of Baja California Sur.
